Notes on measurement

Flight time is measured at the manufacturer’s test conditions: 25 °C (77 °F) ambient, no wind, hovering with the camera idle. Real-world flight time varies with wind, temperature, and how aggressively you fly.

FPV range (300 m line-of-sight) is the maximum link distance in an interference-free environment. Urban Wi-Fi congestion, buildings, and obstructions reduce that range significantly. Recreational flyers must keep the aircraft within visual line of sight under FAA rules — the visual limit usually arrives first.

Takeoff weight of 8.8 oz (249 g) includes the standard flight battery installed. Adding accessories (propeller guards, larger battery) can push the aircraft above the 250 g FAA recreational threshold.

Service ceiling of 120 m (400 ft) reflects the maximum altitude allowed for recreational flyers under FAA rules. Firmware soft-limits the GW-1 to this altitude by default; certificated Part 107 operators can request authorizations for higher operations through LAANC.
